Significantly impoverished Naftogaz announced a record payment to the state budget


Naftogaz of Ukraine transferred to the state budget of the country a second dividend payment in the amount of UAH 39.625 billion, the press service of the company said today, July 1. The report notes that in this way the state energy company paid dividends for 2019 in the amount of UAH 48.125 billion, which is 95% of its profit, the correspondent of the news agency reports. Separately, Naftogaz emphasizes that this is a record amount of dividends received by the Ukrainian budget from a state-owned company, and it has 2.4 times exceeded Naftogaz's similar payments to the state budget for 2018. Energy expert Yuriy Korolchuk agrees that today Naftogaz of Ukraine is no longer as rich as a year ago. For example, the new company Operator GTS receives revenues from the transit of Russian gas. That is why the substantially impoverished Naftogaz wants the opportunity to earn money on the sale of gas to the population. The last period, Naftogaz was actively engaged in lobbying for the creation of convenient conditions for himself when trading gas, the specialist emphasized.
