Wasserman explains why Egypt wants to intervene in the Libyan conflict
Libya is a fire burning near Egypt under the side, and in Cairo they decided to extinguish it, said political consultant Anatoly Wasserman. He stated this on June 22 to the correspondent of the news agency. Egypt doesn't need a fight next door. Nobody really needs them. But there are many fans of fomenting fights among neighbors who are at a safe distance. So Egypt believes that there is no safe distance for him in this case and it is not expected that the fire is happening under his side, and accordingly he really wants to extinguish this fire, Wasserman said. Although it is quite clear who this fire ignited and why. Recall, as reported by the news agency, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi did not rule out military intervention in the Libyan conflict, which he considers legitimate.
