The leader of European Georgia called on the opposition to cooperate
One of the leaders of the European Georgia party, Gigi Ugulava, said at a briefing on July 27 that the United National Movement (UNM) party intends to nominate its candidates for the Georgian parliamentary elections instead of agreeing on unified candidates for deputy seats from the opposition. This was reported by InterprossNews. As Ugulava said, there are agreements with the UNM only in eight metropolitan majority districts, and in all others they are going to fight on their own. The leader of the European Georgia called on other opposition parties to unite to successfully confront the Georgian Dream party in the elections. I want to urge our colleagues from other parties to continue and complete consultations in the near future and agree on common majoritaries who will run in the regions of Georgia, Ugulava said. Recall that around the largest opposition party of the UNM, the Force in Unity coalition was formed. Earlier it was planned that in the majority districts from the coalition will put forward unified opposition candidates. It is also worth noting that on July 27 an exit from Force in unity was declared by leaders of parties New Georgia and the Law and the right.
