The consumer price index in South Korea in June remained the same


In June 2020, the consumer price index in South Korea amounted to 104.87 points, which corresponds to the same period last year. It is reported by KBS with reference to the Statistical Service of the country. The cost of agricultural, fish and livestock products increased by 4.6%. In particular, the cost of livestock production increased by 10.5%, seafood by 6.9%, agricultural products by 0.5%. The price of oil, on the contrary, decreased by 15.4%. In addition, the cost of utilities decreased by 2%, and personal services, on the contrary, increased by 1%. The consumer price index is a type of price index created to measure the average level of the price of goods and services (consumer basket) for a certain period in the economy.
