At least 30 houses affected by flooding in Thailand

At least 30 houses and 25 cars were damaged in a flood in Chiang Mai province in northern Thailand, Xinhua reports. It is reported that the flood occurred suddenly, so the locals did not have time to prepare. Also, because of the flood, roads and several hectares of farm land were flooded. A rescue operation is currently underway for residents of small settlements and plantations that could be cut off from the rest of the world. Also, army units were involved in the aftermath of the disaster. They will help remove dirt and silt, as well as help residents move to higher areas.
