Belarus expects loan from IBRD for COVID-19 events
Belarus intends to attract 90 million loans from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development in 2020 2021. This is evidenced by the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of Belarus No. 249 of April 23. The relevant document was published on April 25 on the national legal Internet portal of Belarus. The amount specified in the document is planned to be attracted for 11 years to finance the emergency response to the epidemiological situation in Belarus. In this connection, the Council of Ministers of the Republic decided to approve the draft loan agreement between the Republic and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development as a basis for negotiations. The Ministry of Health of the Republic has been authorized to negotiate this agreement in accordance with the resolution. The Belarusian Ministry of Health may also make minor changes to the agreement, which are not of fundamental importance. The Ministry of Health is also authorized to sign an agreement when an agreement is reached within the framework of the approved project.
