First death from coronavirus in PMR: did not wait for tests from Chisinau

The Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic confirmed the first death from coronavirus COVID-19. According to the First Pridnestrovian TV channel on March 31, a 55-year-old woman died after bilateral pneumonia caused by coronavirus. The fact that the woman was infected became known after her death when the results of her tests from Chisinau came. The hospital specified that the woman had chronic diabetes mellitus and heart pathologies. Doctors also found that the woman was in Tiraspol Hospital in the same box as the man who had previously confirmed the COVID-19. After this case, the entire pulmonology department (50 people) was transferred to the Slobodzei District Hospital, where patients with coronavirus are treated. And the head of the Tiraspol hospital was dismissed for negligence. In the last 24 hours, the PMR has identified six new cases of coronavirus infection with COVID-19. The Republic has a regime of Extremely Situation. It should be noted that analyses of Pridnestrovian residents are sent for confirmation to Chisinau.
