In Ukraine may introduce a system of juvenile justice

The juvenile justice system plans to create an office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, the news agency UNIAN reported on February 12. We all have to understand the specifics of working with minors. It is necessary to take into account child psychology and child perception, and approaches at all stages should differ from those that exist in work with adult criminals and victims, Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine Gunduz Mamedov said at a meeting with the leadership of the National Police. He noted that all parties to the process lawyers, prosecutors, judges and others should have a special status and specialize in this area. If it is a child victim, we all have to minimize stressful situations, because even the trial can become stressful, sometimes irreparable, the official added. For this reason, children may be prohibited from being questioned more than once in Ukraine. According to the news agency, an investigator had previously been arrested in Georgia, after interrogation of whom a 15-year-old boy had committed suicide.
