20,000 people forgot to buy a pass to Jurmala and were fined
On the eve of spring and the new resort season published how many people last summer forgot to buy a pass for their car when entering Jurmala and were fined, writes the portal LSM. Paid entry to Jurmala is usually valid between April 1 and October 1. The cost of a pass for a car is 2 euros per day. The pass must be bought within a day after crossing the territorial border of Jurmala, but not later than 23:59 of that day. This can be done using a mobile app, or at 4 checkpoints. Administrative protocols were given last season for their forgetfulness and more than 20,000 people were fined. The fine is 50 euros per unpaid day. Paid entry does not apply to citizens and those who own real estate or land in Jurmala.
